IMPAB for Win95 - Personal Address Book Importing
IMPAB is a Word7 utility to enable the user to import ASCII delimited
data into the Personal Address Book (PAB) of Win95. Storing your data
in the PAB will allow for many new options as you email or fax to your
contacts in Win95, including the ability to broadcast a mail-merged
fax. PAB also serves as a data source for mail merges.
This utility responds to a need to import data from any database which
may not be directly supported by Microsoft, but can still export in an
ASCII delimited format.
Your input file may be either a comma or tab delimited ASCII text
file. The user can map the fields in this file into the appropriate
field in the Win95 PAB.
This shareware utility will initially allow for the importing of your
names beginning with A-D. Upon registration, the user will be able to
import all data.
Requirements:
IMPAB requires Word 7 for Win95 and Microsoft Exchange. (Exchange is
part of the Win95 Operating System.) IMPAB also requires incoming
data to be in either a tab or comma delimited ASCII file.
Installation:
IMPAB comes with an installation program. This will create a
directory and launching icon for IMPAB. From the Start menu, choose
Run, then enter or browse to the full path location of the
install.exe file. When installed, this application will run under
Word 7 for Win95.
